Bei dem Projekt «Gebaute Räume» geht es mir um die Frage, mit welchen Mitteln ich Raum gestalten, sichtbar und wahrnehmbar machen kann. In Suchbewegungen durch architektonische Räume sammle ich in meiner Umgebung «Momentaufnahmen» von gebauten Situationen. Ich fotografiere die Formen ihrer sichtbaren Erscheinungen, die in einem Prinzip des Ansammelns und Verdichtens in die Formfindung und den Bau der Raumskulpturen einfliessen.

Meine Auseinandersetzung mit Räumen verstehe ich als einen offenen Prozess des Suchens, Ansammelns, Experimentierens und Eingrenzens. Während ich baue, entwickle und arbeite, entstehen Raumkörper, Fragmente, Grabungen und geschichtete Konstruktionen. Die Arbeiten sind keine Abbilder tatsächlich gebauter Räume, sie sind Projektionen von gesehenem, Erlebtem und Erinnertem.

In the project »Built Spaces« I am concerned with the question of the means by which I can shape a space, making it visible and perceptible. Moving in a searching way through architectural spaces, I collect mo- mentary »snapshots« of built environments around me. I photograph the forms of their visible appearance, which then flow into the shaping and construction of spatial sculptures according to a principle of aggrega- tion and densification.
I understand my exploration of spatial structures as an open-ended process of searching, accumulating, experimenting and delimiting. While I am building, developing and working, my activities give rise to spatial entities, fragments, excavations and layered structures. The works are not representations of real built spaces; they are projections of things I have seen, experienced and remembered.
